@realmadid They are "Bracket racing" which means they leave when their side of the tree turns green which is calculated by their posted time index. If both cars cut perfect lights and ran their index, they would arrive at the finish line at exactly the same time. This way a 9 second car can race an 8 second car and win if he cuts a better light and runs his index.
