@Tralgit If your talking about the Hagia Sofia you're a bit late. It hasn't been a mosque since 1935 soon after the secularists came to power in Turkey they turned it into a museum. That's right, Muslims closing a mosque. How does that fit with your view that "they always do that"?

@RefugeeT Really x10 that of normal people! imagine that. I'm from Maidenhead & I hadn't noticed. I'm getting on though, eyesight not what it was.

@Pinguinoasado If you lived in Maidenhead then you will know that Maidenhead has had a purpose built mosque since the mid 1980s. The application was for a community centre adjacent to the existing mosque and not a new mosque.

what's a Maidenhead??

@boskinator no. they always do that. it to say: F Y we are better! Same happened in Constantinople, the biggest cathedral there was turned into a mosque. It's time it changes.
Congratulations and well done Maidenhead! Great job.

The Al-Asqa Mosque on the Temple Mount is a prime example of this. Muslims built it to commemorate their victory over the Jews.
For those who don't know, the Temple Mount is the site of two ancient Jewish temples, and is the HOLIEST site in the world for Jews. By comparison, it is the third holiest site for Muslims, after Mecca and Medina. All that rests of the Jewish temples is the Western Wall.
Also, non-Muslims are NOT allowed to visit the mosque.
