This is just a technicality but here goes... Why must someone always imply that some band from Europe has a style similar to Evanescence as if to say Evanescence came before said band? This band had works (1996) released before Evanescence who made their first release in 1998. It's just an annoyance that really irks me. I enjoy Evanescence somewhat but have grown weary of people saying bands like Within Temptation (and other Euro Metal Bands) are synthesizing the rock or pop rock sound of Ev.

I honestly don't think they sound ANYTHING like Evanescence. Her voice is much more beautiful that Amy Lees', just my opinion. :3

silentium is nothing liek even. people are so fuckin stupid on here. each band has its own niche in music that makes them what they are. amy lee sounds like herself and any idiot with any musical background knows she can sing awesome. people bash and say the stupidest shit on here and have no musical knowledge and just need to stfu and appreciate what they listen to or change the fuckin song asshole.

Same genre kinda sound does it matter really? there are all different bands and you will hear all of them if you make a radio on pandora out of one of those groups. they are a good band either way with their own songs and they sound great and they don't sound exactly like anyone but themselves.

It is getting a bit annoying. I will admit that Evanescence is my favorite band, but for everyone to constantly compare Amy to any kind of music similar...it's kind of degrading it :/ I wish people would just stop and listen to the damn song

@CorbenikTheHarbinger I kind of hink they sound similar but I've actually never seen a comment saying bands like this one or Within Temptation are alike to imply that they copied Evanescence. Ussually they're just saying they are a similar style.

This band is leagues above Evanescence is originality and creativity.

This band's lead singer has a wider vocal range than Amy Lee of Evanescence.
