JacPac is a portable pneumatic power source for hand tools instead of using a bulky compressor. Great for DIY's when nailing, stapling, caulking, etc. Compact, quiet and light weight

  • Broken over 3 messages for size:

    1) When using a large nailer (a framer) you need to use a 20oz tank. More shots & less freeze up.

    [continued...]

  • 2) Some fill locations do not follow proper fill procedures. A new cylinder needs to be purged (2 ozs of co2 put into the cylinder to cool it & then that co2 is dumped out thru the fill station. Once the cylinder is empty & prep'd then a full 9 or 20 oz fill can be added to the cylinder.

  • [second part of response]

    3) Fill tank & fill system need to be out of a "siphon fill" co2 cylinder. A siphon fill system insures that only liquid is going into the 9oz or 20 oz cylinder giving the user a full 500 or more shots.

    Hope that helps.

  • They say it will drive 500 brads. A framing nail takes ALOT more PSI to drive in than a brad. It is as good as its advertised if you use it right. It also can be used to drive roofing nails, finish nails, staples pretty much anything phenumatic. You just have to keep in mind that the tank has a limited capacity. The more air the tool you plug into uses the smaller your run time is between fills.

  • can it use a paintball tank?

  • Will this power a captive bolt gun used in the meat packing industry?

  • I purchased one of these systems. The first full cylinder was used with a framing nailer. I only got 8 nails in the wood. So I had it refilled again at a different shop, figuring maybe the first shop didn't fill it properly. This time I used a pin nailer. I only got approximately 100 shots, far less then the 500 they advertise. I know they say "Up To 500 nails" but 100 is a far cry less than what they advertise. BUYER BEWARE!! IT'S NOT AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED!!

  • What tools other than nail guns do people use with compressed CO2?

  • Ive got one of these kits and really pleased with it. I use a lot of CO2 for paintball as well even though a lot of places are going to HPA so this tool fits well in my world. I'm not finding a lot of places with HPA so being able to pick up filled bottles of CO2 at the same store that I pick up my wood makes sense.
