William Silk was born to sing and entertain. If cabaret clubs still existed today, like they did in Bobby Darin's day, Silk says he would eagerly turn professional and entertain the crowds there with live entertainment night after night.
Ladies and gentlemen, we appeal to you: LET'S BRING BACK the LIVE CABARET LIVE ENTERTAINMENT SCENE TOGETHER!
William Silk closes a fun dinner show with a tribute to the classic 1975 Barry Manilow song from his childhood: "I Write the Songs". This, his first performance of the song, was a delight - hopefully the first of many to come. Silk came into the audience to mingle with the crowd. Supporting him is an amateur big band of 20 musicians and a volunteer backing chorus of 5 foxy ladies. Thanks to the whole gang who came together to make this happen. What a dream come true!
