This is a really amazing film. After watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night, I remembered that Pitt and Blanchett did this film together too.

I just love how all the characters are connected to the tragedy, it's directed beautifully and so cleverly. I hate how some people said it was awful, simply because their brain capacity couldn't handle the narrative when it really isn't all that complicated.

It's a brilliant film, left me in tears at the end.

@JasielMartin92 Her character is one of "pure" pain and she was doing things "against" her character in order to be loved because that is what the world had taught her, the world she knew and was a part of.

Didn't your mother understand that with her being deaf she was only trying to be accepted as an equal amongst those for whom could hear so did things against her character due to this and that the attempt to seduce the investigator at the end was merely a cry out for a man to care for her with her thinking the only way to do so would be to do it sexually after feeling not wanted?
