the state is not there to issue love licenses. the main purpose of civil marriage is to PROMOTE procreation into a environment where there is two biological married parents in order to sustain society through the future. the same reason we don't allow same sex marriage is the same reason we don't allow incest and polygamy. this is why its a privilege, hence the word "license", because the state does have a right to discriminate against those type of relationships for legitimate state interests

It is degrading and offensive to every truly gay person to be equated with a homosexual. Using "gay" as a slick propaganda term to perfume the stench of homosexualism is language abuse, grammatically incorrect, deceptive, and fraudulent, not to mention unscientific. It is offensive, demagogic, and hypocritical to insist on "equal civil marriage rights for homosexuals," and undemocratically deny this so-called "right" to other groups who would, by logic, deserve this very same "right." Homosexualists must demand equal "civil marriage rights" for everyone across the board, including those who "love" and want to marry multiple partners, blood relatives, minors or even animals, or they must stop pretending they stand for equal "marriage rights" at all.
