Ponder isn't bad guys, you think hes bad because our o-line is bad. Have you seen his highlights he is actually good enough to get passes off with his good awareness.

@ExpertHipHop newton and dalton are great rookies. you can judge them by their rookie year. you already know they will be playoff contenders in the years to come. just look at andy dalton+aj green, 2 rookies, im pretty sure you can judge rookies

@hussein335 No you really can't...The only one I'll agree on is Blaine Gabbert for now...But Ponder actually played pretty well. But he needs better coaching. He's so smart, but he needs to recognize his physical limitations throwing. I really like this kid, I think he'll be successful. But I've seen plenty of QB's suck their first year, and then become REALLY good. I don't think he'll be a star, but I think he could work up to where Matt Ryan is now.

Dude, the feel in Minnesota was that we needed a young QB to be the face of the franchise... Simple ponder was the best we could get. Saying we can get Luck or RGIII is easy to say now that we finished so low but you can't foresee the future.
I agree with you that we should have drafted D instead of ponder though cause lol we suck
