Valentina, a 3d low-poly modeling test

just the way i did it this time, maybe not THE one way it should be done :)

There's a concept named "edge loops" which is very important in 3d modeling. you should search for "edge loops" in google and in youtube.

This modeling test doesnt take much attention to edge loops. so i warned you :)

( in 2005 when i started i looked feverishly around the net for videos like this, so in 2006 i made one )

in Maya you do:

Panels/Orthographic/Front

then

View/Image Plane/Import image

if you google for

v3saephotos.zip

you can get the reference images

i think the best free 3d modeling program to use is Blender, on youtube look for

super3boy he has a complete video course on how to use it
