  • Thanks Matt. Its a lot of fun. I'm making some suspension mods and hope to get her 60' times down. The engine runs absolutely awesome and freely revs to 6500-7000 RPM with tons of torque the whole way.

  • That takes me back. I had a buick sky hawk which is pritty much the same car. After seeing your car i relieze i should have kept it. Very nice car.

  • @hpjunky70 Thank you sir.

  • I like how neatly the parts in the engine-compartment are. The water-pump is easy to get to, The Coilpacks are easy to get to and the Altenator is easy to change. Hell everything is easy to change.

  • @1BlubeTube Thanks, that's what I had in mind. Easy to work on and I like actually seeing the engine block instead of it being covered up by accessories.

  • And the sparkplugwires are sitting far enough away between the header-pipes. So you wont have to worry about burnt plug-wires. However, I never liked how car-builders have to do alot of mods to the steering column to go around a big engine in a small car. I just wish there was a different way.

  • @1BlubeTube

Thanks for the comments. Yes, the steer column required that for the BBC that was in the car, so I kept it and built the new headers to work with it. If you look around a factory cars, there are a number of them that used similar setups stock to get to the steer box/rack. It is silky smooth steering with the Flaming River needle bearing joints.

  • Sweet build. Always liked the Monza Spyder with a SBC but this is just the chit with late model LS power.

  • What air filter you use?

  • Awesome just plain out sickkkk Monza old school meet new school muscle

  • Wicked cool car! Always loved the Monza in drag format. And the LSX marriage is a match made in heaven.

Just get rid of the crappy intro music and let the exhaust note sound carry the video.

  • all i can say is damn!!! bad ass monza dude, i love it. i like how you remotely moved your water pump. awesome!!!

  • @454spyder Sir, we think alike.

  • @454spyder Back in the 80's in my one horse town muscle cars were huge (of course). There was some sweet car's that rich kid's had and there was this one guy that everyone feared. He had a rusted out piece of shit monza (maybe a spider) that had a rippin SBC in it. It was a manual and it handed a lot of kids their asses that had put a shit load of daddy's money into them.
