  • We had a similar type incident at the Surry,Va plant a couple weeks ago. I tried to find out what happened with no luck. Our local paper wouldn't even mention it..... makes you wonder.

  • This is why solar and wind is a better solution.

  • We also live abut 5 miles from it. Not very fond of it.

  • I live just on the edge of the Limerick Power Plant evacuation circle and I did not hear anything about this. I guess we should pay more attention due to the fact is that if anything happens to this plant lots of people will loose everything. I also hear of Terror threats on" Power Plants ", how nice... It's a beautiful world we live in...; )

  • None of you have any idea what you're talking about lol

  • Very interesting. I did not hear of it. I was near the plant on June 2nd, 2011 and shot some video of the cooling towers. I was wondering why one of the towers was putting out a lot less steam than the other. Now I guess I know. It does take a few weeks for the reactors to cool down when scrammed.

  • Thank you subbed. Please let me know if any news comes out for Limerick. I'm about 2 miles upwind.

  • @monroeaj same here

  • Mystery "boom" associated with earthquake. Strange.

    Replace DOT with ".":
