Thank goodness that there are young people like you in America. After seeing and reading the comments that many people have posted, I was getting a little discouraged about the future of America and the world.

We do have a lot of Christians and conservatives, but there are plenty of liberals and atheists here.

Positive humanist values allied to open secular rational liberal societies, like more plausibly held in the World's maturer progressive Democracies, seem by sound statistics significantly a very realistic way for societies to function well within and globally! Hence, crucial too for Humanity to credibly survive on through it's existing volatile technological adolescence well. Encouragingly such constructive values exist in varying degrees in near all the desired top one-third plus of countries,

Sorry! Should have finished it more in a 2nd post. "the more enlightened a society, the more free, secular and civilized." Rational secular societies emphasizing knowledge over fear, really can only petrify autocratic and dogmatic power manipulators and their cronies who must rely on the gun, the gullible and the ill-informed oppressed for their ill-gotten on-going self-indulgences and dictatorial controls.
