  • Wrong: I've found this pump to be the best--sure outperforms the Johnson pumps and Rule. The electronic switch where the wires come out is encased in solid plastic--there are no moving parts and there's no way that will break. As for where it's pumping out of my boat, it was about a 5 foot lift to a through-hull above the stove. The water gushes out at a 2 foot arc from the hull. My mistake was I didn't put a backflow valve at the pump head When I installed valve it left the bilge almost dry.

  • Great idea, Simon: I didn't know one was available. I have a 4.5' rise (within your recommended limit) so I knew there would be flow-back, but was pleased that the pump is smart enough not to kick on again. Congratulations on your design: this is an excellent product.

  • As you can see the super sub needs high volume to operate the rated flow its supposed to operate at. Also I must point out that the plastic housing is very very weak around the sensors at the back and will at some stage break. I have used this product and hope that it can be improved. If you dont believe me just look where it is pumping out the side of the boat!!!! Where is that video?

  • Reviews of this pump are very encouraging... I think these will be ideal for my Hover - thanks for uploading!

  • Hello 30 Irwin

I am the designer of the Supersub Smart from Whale Pumps in Northern Ireland. The video is fantastic we are all very pleased. Can I recommend you add a Non-return valve to stop the water flowing back into the bilge. Whale part number is LV1219.

    Regards

    Simon
