Roland GR-20: What MIDI Can Do To Your Guitar

With only one permanent guitar in Gearwire Studio, we were apprehensive to permanently alter anything, so Bob DiFazio temporarily set-up a Roland GR-20 MIDI pickup. Check out his video as Bob gives an encompassing overview on Roland's MIDI system.

Stompbox effects and multieffects are great, but MIDI takes guitar even further from tradition, and its really not as daunting to install as you may think.

you failed to mention what dto do if the string sensitivty needs adjusting I tryed calling rolands tech department but talked about pompiss arrogant ass cock suckers frustrated guitarist

the pickup does NOT do anything with MIDI, it is a regular analog pickup with 6 individual humbucker pickups for each string, the actual Pitch to MIDI conversion happens in the GR-20/30/33/55
