What happens when you mix vinegar (acid) and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate which is a base).

Look isn't science exciting...?

We owe all we know to Mr. Norhaus.

  • So vinegar and baking soda makes carbon dioxide?

    Holy fuck. Mind blown.

  • u guys legal yet ? o_o

  • Both girls wears glasses but not gloves!

  • I love the laughter at the end! :-)

  • When you mix an acid (they neutralise each other with a base it realses a hydrogen gas + water + salt (the one you eat.) Obvisiously Vinegar and baking soda is one of the most reactive experiments in this topic.

  • bitches for the niggers

  • Fucking awesome! When it exploded, thats what it looks like in my pants. i jizzed, in otherwords, cause i just fucked my hand

  • wow...

  • Vinegar is Acetic Acid: CH3COOH

Baking Soda is Sodium Bicarbonate: NaHCO3

When they combine, they switch partners to make sodium acetate: NaCH3COO

    and carbonic acid: H2CO3.

Carbonic acid is highly unstable, and quickly decomposes to water and carbon dioxide.

    Full reaction:

    CH3COOH + NaHCO3---> NaCH3COO + CO2+ H2O

  • ....

I need the explanation such the formula or equation, chemically...

    but, thx a lot anyway...
