I am unbiased as a state fan and i can admit Ole miss has a better football program by a mile. But as a whole as an athletic program i think state takes it. I mean whats this people are saying about ole miss baseball?!?! State and coach Polk (i wish he was back) have one more SEC titles, regional appearances, Super-regional appearances, and we wont even mention trips to the CWS. And you can say Basketball doesn't matter, but i bet if you'd win more you would be singin a different tune.
Um... sir do you even no anything about Mississippi State? No the don't produce doctors and lawyers and such. But Ole Miss doesn't produce the things State produces. State has more higher ranked academic programs that ole miss. They have the number ONE vet school in America, as of last year when i tried to get in, the number ONE agricultural program, and the number three engineering program. You need to do some research before you start talking random shit
Most people pick a school on academics and not football programs. Say all you want but MSU has a top notch academic programs which makes it a great school. That is why some people choose State over Ole Miss. Where would the state or the nation be without MSU's Dept of Agriculture? Far from a joke.
Nobody cares about basketball in the SEC? Bullsh*t. When your Mississippi Rebs somehow went 13-0 in basketball a couple of years ago and was ranked 16th in the nation, you guys were all over it like stink on sh*t. Then your season folded like a cheap tent, and your ilk used the ol' "we don't care about said sport" as a way to lick it's wounds. It was the same song about your baseball program until Mr. Choke Bianco came and gave UM the best 10 years of baseball mediocrity it has ever seen.
I graduated from Ole Miss in 2007 with a B.A. in History and I'm currently working on a master's and eventually a Ph.D. So how did you get, after listing all those reasons below, that I would choose Ole Miss because of a minority ratio. If I wanted to do that I'd have gone to Mississippi College in Jackson (where I'm from), a private school. Racist? haha....pathetic
If it's one thing I "admire" about a Reb, it's the epic scale in which they over-inflate their own egos. How many self-proclamations do you guys have now?
#2 party school in the nation? WOW! Impressive. No wonder guys who can't read like Jerrell Powe opts to come to UM. I hear Khayat put a lot of money in your Special Education Program.
