why is it that nobody, yes, and that means all of us out there.. has come along to top Bob Marley yet? or at least even come... just a little close ?? his kids even though they sure try,and every one else cant even touch his shoes. Do we all have to worship a dead man forever??? frustrating sorry for the shocking statement.

I agree, but that was the case with most reggea bands of that era unfortunately, maybe it was to keep the sound typically drum, base and rythym and veer away from a rock influence, also a good lead guitarist will inevitably take a mighty chunk of the limelight thru phenominal popularity and outshine the frontman, IMO. :D. Have you listened to the lead guitarist on 'Ijahman levi' heavy load? check it out.

Let me tell you -- the Wailers (this particular version backing Bob) were so excellent musically that I saw them perform as "The Wailers" in '84, after Bob died, and they were absolutely stunning. The earlier version of The Wailers included Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, two giants in their own right
