A lot of people are commenting about 24 vs 22 fret Lg guitars...
...Godin currently produces the LG with 22 frets. This is also true for many of the other Performance series guitars (e.g the SD) which orignally had 24 frets. I do not know exactly when they switched to 22 frets, but my 2003 Godin LG has 24 frets.
Nah, there's no replacing a lipstick/alnico regular classic tele with anything. Even the other tele configurations don't really replace it. The bite and fight and twang of a tele is somehow all its own. Chuck Prophet, who's one of the great tele players of 80's 90's teles, uses Squiers. They're modded of course, but still, a tele is something unto itself. If you take the tele and imagine it howling instead of shrieking, just a throatier voice of the same timbre, without jangle, that's an LG
i have an lg 24 fret with p90's and was thinking of getting a tele, i have never played a tele would you say that the lg would cover the same ground just as well?
