I don't know how many other displays of P-51's in formation you've seen over the years but compared to those I've seen from British pilots this was lame. I was lookng forward to something special from the Carthorsemen, like showing just what a P-51 was capable of. Instead we got the kind of slow precision flying you can get from any number of planes. The music shouldn't have been necessary - but in their case it was.

The French guy is always their at Legends. Why can't they have Sean Maffet instead he is a real know it all and sounds a lot better :P

Am I right in thinking that the Carthorsemen didn't use music on the Saturday? Pretty sure they didn't. Yet on the Sunday there it was, music to brighten up their act.

I like the horsemen routine, but it would have been better If they'd brought in their own planes...
Second to the French guy (who tried to make everything sound very sexual, like "many pilots were still virgins" and "the sexiest plane ever built")
The absense of TFC was dissapointed, but I believed they had thier reasons.

I agree with all the comments, the p-51 doesn't need music or strange French commentary, the sound of that gorgeous engine is all you need.

Why does a Frenchman commentate on a British airshow? Why was he allowed to get away with saying that you have to fly a plane like making love to it, over the mike?
As for the Carthorsemen, they were just that: lame. I've seen British pilots fly P-51's in a boring trio just as well.

Totally agree on both points, the french twit was annoying, think of him for 3 hours straight!!
And yes when i had finshed filming this, i turned to my dad and said that was a waste of time!!!!
