Out of the box review of the IdZ set from WE. I compare it to the original WE G36E and as well as ARES G36K (both standard and compact stock)

I purchase this kit from CWI Airsoft, a Taiwan store who can source WE Parts with ease (not have to wait for 2 months)

Conclusion: I like the stock on the basis for short length of pull, and currently it does not wobble as oppose to the WE skeletal one which have develop a wobble. The rail in my opinion is piece of junk. It's crappy plastic, and the sight is not only non-adjustable but off as well (Though the original one cannot be zero at 100 feet either) If the stock and the rail were seperate, I would've just pick the stock. The Rail system itself is not much improvement, there isn't enough improvement to justify purchasing it.

IdZ Stock:: 4.5/5 (I wish they use better plastic like the ones from ARES or Classic Army)
IdZ Rail:2.5/5 (Non adjustable sight, fragile and easily flexible plastic)
Original standard Stock: 3.5/5 (better plastic, developed wobble, and the rubber pad is easily removed)
Original Rail: 2.5/5 (Non adjustable sight, Compact rail on a full size rifle does not fit right to the eye)

  • Nice video, quite thorough. Minor note, the new KV stock is produced by S&T, not ARES. They are not the same companies, even though they use the same designs.

Request: Could you elaborate on just how much widening is needed to fit the IdZ stock on an ARES/S&T/Umarex AEG? What is the difference between the diameter of the WE and the AEG stock pin holes? Thank you.

  • @BSG11 S&T is an rebrand of ARES AFAIK, one may wonder why S&T has the complete same line up as ARES as well as all the licensed trademark became transferable.

WE uses a M3 pin for the stock. That should give you the answer.

  • Does the pin holding in the hand guard shake lose? I hear thats a common problem with AEG G36s let alone a GBBR.

  • @headlesschicken6661 It's not that easy to remove neither is it really difficult. Its a Coddler pin

  • Would the kit fit on a g36e im looking into using it as a sniper

  • @kullwarrior There is no need to speculate. S&T and ARES are separate companies, and they are not (no longer) friends. S&T used to be ARES' exclusive distributor, but the two parted on bad terms. Now S&T is competing against ARES by producing the same models at a lower price. So there is no rebranding, what it is is a price war.

The WE stock pin is only 3mm wide? That's a very small diameter for a stock pin.
