Siim Kallas, European Commissioner for Administrative Affairs, refers to Bernie Ecclestone's controversial comments on Hitler and efficient dictatorships during a speech at the ceremony of the European Public Sector Awards, known as EPSA., in Maastricht. Kallas' five-year term as European Commissioner ends once European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso will nominate a new commission.

  • Capable administration is really the key factor here. Efficiency is one thing, but responsibility towards the society is another.

  • that man is right.

    a few years ago, we had a government which had the opinion that everything they say and do is right, and the masses are wrong. and because the parliament has too much influence, the democracy should be reformed to a much more effective version. much more like a company. they also had good contacts to the chinese government and liked what they saw. an effective government with hard-working, agreeing citizens, that own not much rights.

    it was called "basta" politics
