As many as 800,000 North Koreans have crossed illegally into China in search of food. This is their story. It is told from hideouts under the ground, under floorboards, behind closed doors. Living in a world where the Chinese police can knock at the door any minute and send them home to near certain execution. They cling to what it means to be a human being and struggling with the guilt of leaving their starving loved ones behind.

  • @pyongyang100 Instability!? What about purposefully starving your own people that love you. That's better, right? I don't think so.

  • @serenekhatiwada Woah there, sounds like you don't want people to know about the troubles in NK if you don't want them to make any more documetaries. Why would you try to support the secrecy Kim is blanketing over this criminal regime by bashing the guys who struggle to let us know the truth?

  • @serenekhatiwada I understand your indignation but I see it another way: I doubt the sales of this would ever be big and at best they help finance other work to raise awareness. I don't know Journeyman TV so I can't endorse them but maybe it helps to see it another way. Without this, who would know of the problems? It cost quite a bit of money to make it, I would think.

  • I thought this video was for awareness- after watching it felt sad a horrified. But the end advertisement for Journeyman? Buying the documentary? You people are making money off the torture North Koreans are facing, how human is that? Sometimes the capitalist system is more feudal than whats going on in N. Korea. Its just so sad. Journeyman- you guys have a stake in the murder in N.Korea if you are making money off whats going on. Wake up people!!!

  • i don't understand, it says 52 min documentary but it's only 10 min long. Where is the rest?

  • who filmed this, if they can find this family what are the odds the police can't find them ?

  • Usually those under 18 in the US who lose their virginity do it by choice, not b/c they have to be sold to survive.

  • you fool! if the DPRK falls, you wont know of the instability that will occur!

  • hmmm...starving to death or losing one's virginity, which is worse? i'll take the latter, even if it's gay rape with a nightstick. you really can't be that stupid, 동술아.
