This video is a response to the comments on my timing and speed. I've attempted to play it slower and fix all the timing issues.

  • Hey, send me your email and I can attach the sheet music for it.

  • How long have you been playing? Also, do you know if the note shapes are the same on the Uilleann chanter as the GHB?

  • Hi,

I've been playing about 11 years now, but not steady. just kind of on and off. the notes on the uilleann are quite different. The uilleann pipes have two octaves, whereas the highland pipes are more regimented in it's fingering and is limited to only an octave.

  • You sound great, congratulation. Just one (stupid) question : why do you play in your kitchen? Because the uillean pipe making is close to plumbing?

  • Great observation! I wonder how many actual feet of piping the uilleanns have? not sure why I chose this particular location... :)

    Hello,

    Great !

I like this music, but the sound is a bad quality. Try again with more quality on the sound. Please.

I waiting the new video with impatience.

  • aww loved it !!

  • @deathbybagpipes sorry, that was meant forNewrock

  • @kelsohighlander As a highland and uillean piper, it can also be worth mentioning that the fingering for the uillean pipes is most similar to tin whistle (more so than GHB), so if you want a good basic start, without getting a starter set of uillean pipes to to get (somewhat) familiar with the fingering, try tin whistle.
