This is a higher-quality remix of "A kestrel tries some insect catching".

  • your video is quite an artistic achievement - bird and music. thank you for this post.

  • You can see it catch something at about 0:49 and then you see it swallow at about 0:53 or 0:54 as it's still turning round if you look closely ...amazing footage :)

  • can never quite see if it caught anything, but it looks like a ballet...

  • Amazing.........what an extraordinary creature. I am studying to become a falconer. When I pass my test this is what I will fly.

  • Amazing stuff .

  • Maybe it's scoffing all the bees

0:40 you can see it miss then catch the black speck

  • Magnifico vídeo, encantador como el cernícalo almuerza en el aire.

  • That is superb footage. I've taken numerous photos of them eating on the wing, but never seen the 'catch'. Great!

  • Beautifully done! Thanks.

  • Wait, are you saying that the birds in this particular video are falcons as in PEREGRINE FALCONS or just another family of falcons?

(This bird is absolutely not a Peregrine Falcon.)
