Visit http://www.taichihealthways.com for more videos of Master Jesse Tsao on Yang, Chen, Wu, Sun tai chi tyle and Tai Chi sword, broadsword, qigong (Chi gong) meditation for internal energy healing, bio-energy, Shaolin and Wudang Taoist Kung-fu martial arts, Taiji Power Release (fajin), Taiji application, Bagua, Xingyi application. Traditional Tai Chi Eight Immortals Cane is a very special Tai Chi routine. A walking cane is an everyday, common object, but is also a handy weapon in self defense! This routine is based on the characteristics of Tai Chi postures with the traditional Taoist "eight immortals" cane/stick martial function. It is fun for any age level to learn. Grandmaster Zhu Tiancai created the Chinese brush writing calligraphy for this routine. Tai Chi Health Ways host annual workshop with the top masters. See photos or videos of Chen Zhenglei, Li Deyin, Zhu Tiancai, Chen Xiaowang, Dan Lee, Su Zifang, Abraham Liu .... The Tai Chi diagram is the foundation upon which Tai Chi was born. Many people take it as only a symbol or philosophy, unaware of Tai Chi's principles and secret application methods are hidden within the symbol's curved lines.

  • This cane-routine is a combination of Taoist immortal cane application with Tai Chi. I practiced "Iron Cane Lee" zhang-fa in my hometown when I was a school boy, many years ago! :-)

  • Hi! I was wondering if the movements in the Ba Xian Cane form have any direct relationship with each Daoist Immortal? That would be fun! I noticed from your website that you are from Penglai! I would love to see the mirages that happen there! Amazing!

  • Yes! I was from Penglai and saw mirages a few times :-) This cane-routine is a combination of Taoist immortal cane application with Tai Chi. I practiced "Iron Cane Lee" zhang-fa in my hometown when I was a school boy.

  • @knotytjhing Good ole shillelagh works quite fine too, and there are a few people still teaching it as an art, looks nice.

  • A Campbell Cane could be an interesting senior defense device. I was asked last year about designing a cane that could be functional, artistic and defensive. The latest design fits this description. I was involved in martial arts in the 60's..now I am way over 60. I would not want to be on the other end.

  • @wavewobbler

Chaplin can kill a man from 100 paces. With a look.

    I think.

    I could be wrong.

  • With the cane, the form seems to make more sense to the untrained eye (such as mine :-) ). Good demonstration

  • Cool! Please show us some Chin Na techniques with that stick :)

  • So there was a form named after Li Tie Guai??? That is very cool!

  • or an umbrella
