Fulltone '70 Fuzz

A Message from Fulltone - "I have in-hand a bunch of BC108C transistors, so within a couple of weeks you will see the return of the 70 pedal in a small (OCD-sized) housing. These transistors sound outrageous! This model 70-BC will still have the secret-weapon "Mid" knob which will allow you to do something other Fuzzfaces won't let you do....be heard in the mix ;)"

Ever played an original FuzzFxxe from around 1970? Hint: not AT ALL the same sound as ones with the same namesake being mass-produced currently) Ours has Two intentionally mismatched (for Harmonic content) Silicon transistors that snarl and spit... not for the meek! If you put the "Fuzz" on 10 you will rip, and you might get all sorts of oscillation and weirdness...but that's Rock. Don't try using it with a wah wah...you can't, and neither could Jimi, without it screaming and howling. You want polite and quiet?...go elsewhere. You want art in a box? Come on in.

Housed in a 16 gauge steel box and Powder coated Deep Blue, this pedal is a bit unruly but with some warmth... ideal for older 4 input Marshall amps, it has much more FUZZ than the '69 Pedal and includes a Mid control for extra clarity and cut.

I got my hands on Eric Johnson's Blue Fuzzface that he used from "Tones" through "Ah Via Musicom" period (now owned by Ian Moore) and incorporated a few of its tonal secrets into the '70 pedal with staggering sonic results!

  • I like the sounds, but I wish there was someone narrating like in PGS demos.

  • @95shredder we have done tons of research and also watch all the postings on here and the majority of viewers dont want talking just playing, we used to do with narration in the early day sbut people didnt like it...

  • @musictoyznetwork I dno i would say people like talking in demo's but they want to hear the thing first before they get all the details. Its not so much the fact that they are talking its just that sometimes you have to wait ages before you getto hear it.

  • @jwalsh8 you know you maybe right !

  • as far as narrating goes, this pedal, and alot like it, needs little if any explanation. that said, this is one of the best fuzz pedals around, can't decide if it's better than my Barber Trifecta, but still nice!

  • Love the sound! Extreme sounds like Joe Bonamassa! GREAT!!!

  • This is a great sounding fuzz that really nails Trower when cranked, more than the Trower pedal IMHO.

My only issue is with fuzz backed off it starts to sound dark tonally.

Still one of the best fuzz on the market.

    Strat + Princeton Reverb

  • i've got a Marshall JVM210... so i already have great sounding clean, overdrive, and distortion... this fuzz pedal makes a great addition with the wah pedal and for a good volume and power boost for solos and sounds AMAZING full on with open chords

  • what amp and guitar are you using??

  • to yobhsiFehT, if you put an overdrive (OCD) or a boost between your wah and the 70 it will work with the wah, if you have the drive on with the fuzz. Also if you turn the fuzz gain down it is less likely to react with the wah on its own. Hope this works for you, I love mine!
