Yael Naïm - Too Long

Yael Naïm (Hebrew: יעל נעים‎) is a Israeli-French singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2008, after her hit single "New Soul" was used by Apple in an advertising campaign for its MacBook Air. The success of this song made her the first Israeli solo artist to have a top ten hit in the United States. The song peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Yael Naim, en hébreu יעל נעים, est une chanteuse franco-israélienne révélée par la comédie musicale Les dix commandements, née à Paris le 6 février 1978. Elle chante en anglais, en hébreu et en français, et est notamment l'interprète du titre New Soul.

I can appreciate that this is the story of your life; however, it probably applies to many, many people--all of whom have different lives from your own. That is the power of generalizations (she's not using details that narrow her experiences down, eliminating her audience) and abstraction. So yeah, I guess someone interpreted it a little cliche, but just ignore it *smile* and appreciate the impact the song had on your own life.

Did Milan Kundera defined the idea of Kitsch! How is it possible to put so cheap cliché images on a such beautifull song. You have no idea, this song is the story of my life, but those pictures are what I decided at the age of 16 to be never my life. Is there something like "crime de lèse-magesté" possible against that!

It is not acceptable even on the second degre!
