Of course they will if you don't clean the wound and keep it covered while it is healing... like any other animal bite.

No Moray eels are not like any other animal bite they have bacteria in their mouth that can cause such a horrible wound that yrs ago some islanders thought they were venemous

I've been bitten multiple times and never developed any complications or infections... and I don't believe this is even a member of the Moray family, though I could be wrong :) I've also been bitten by morays as well, again with no complications.
