The "conventional" animation looks exaggerated.

This wiil be another problematic electronic device for BMW like their crappy ABS systems that are un reliable and expensive to fix. Hope this bike has less mechanical issues than their K1200 & K1300's. AKA Cam Chain failures, camshaft failures, rear drive failure and the list goes on.

Probably only fair to reserve comment until we can actually use one "live"!

Hmmm...how do you know that?

@wbwvids because it wont stop at a strait line 15 m in front of you. yes maybe this xenon/mirror combination is better and brighter than the normal but this animation shows not the real difference. btw the most modern bikes have Xenon too !

Yes, I guess I'd have to hold off on judging it until I actually see the real examples and can compare to "normal" headlights.

@wbwvids If the simulation was accurate, the beam would be at a tangent to the curve. It is obviously exaggerated, and sometimes completely false. At 1:28 the beam goes off to the right of the bike, yet the bike is not cornering.

It's only a rough simulation to give the idea. In fact, the headlight is now in production on the new K1600GT, I saw it at the 2010 EICMA show.
