The last 16 years not just the last 8. The cynicism is bipartisan. Social security was bankrupted in the 90's. Left, right republican, democrat I don't care. Fred said it in this video. The problem is is government can't run ANYTHING including itself without effing it up, yet the elected keep taking more for them selves THEY ALL DO IT! The republicans havnt followed their conservative ideology for years. Remember, Republicans were elected to stop the Vietnam war at one point in time.
Bush wasnt a conservative at all. He believed in spending, starting unnecessary wars, infringing on our rights (Patriot Act). He was whats known as a neo-conservative, not a conservative.

I think we can all agree that the bullshit wars, bank bailouts, and mile high clubs for congressman really suck. So, time to start spending money on something that actually helps a lot of people, not just a few. I realize it's pretty hard to shake all the cynicism that's been growing for the last 8 years, but maybe we can pull out of it.
