A documentary film about a mountain ethnic group in South East Asia, the Prisoners of a White God, tells the story about a researcher, who investigates the activities of christian missionaries and international development among the Akha peoples.
Prisoners of a White God received the Grand Prixes at RAFF Film Festival, at Ecofilm Festival, at Festival of the Mountain Films, at "It's Up To You" Film Festival and the Main Prize at Ekotopfilm in 2008!

Theres fake christians and real christians, no matter what every group rather its religious social political or whatever theres always people like that, dont blame an entire group for the actions of false claimers.

More so, because of the facts presented! & without any exaggeration. Only blunt fact findings. "I, personally am an open minded, intrepid". For which my last two trips/adventures had landed me in Southeast Asia. I will forever keep this documentary in mind, & especially suspect thoughts! when coming across Christian missionaries, where Christianity has never had any demographic place in A.D history...!

I love this documentary in the sense that it opened my mind and made me realize the truth behind the religion that I was raised in "Christianity". It's almost ironic and contradictory when the converted Mountain People state that the people there live in fear etc due to their religion. Christianity is the exact same way, Christians live their whole lives with the fear of going to hell and Christians also believe in the supernatural as well.

Tomas I would like to say a big thank you to you for making this amazing documentary. I was in Thailand a few years ago and was up at the golden triangle and hired a local boy to take me around. We were looking at an area of building going on and he explained to me how it was more christians moving in and how they were taking children from each family. He said unless you gave them a child your family didnt get to benefit from the hospital, the school etc. thank you for your courage.
