Motorcycle journalist Mark Gardiner weighs in on the Brammo Enertia Powercycle -- one of the first practical/functional electric motorcycles. Is it really worth nearly $8,000? Although Mark was impressed by the Enertia's on-road performance, he was dismayed by a range of under 30 miles between four-hour recharges. Conclusion: As Kermit the Frog said, "It's not easy being green."
This video was produced as part of a full test of the Enertia that appeared on RoadRacerX.com in one of Mark's weekly Backmarker columns.

  • I certainly wouldn't think that the difference would cover a "lifetime" of servicing unless you're intending to die before puberty. I'd spend at least 1000 dollars a year servicing my petrol bikes. My electric gets a chain adjustment twice a year.
