The setting of the world (Adrena): Think Medieval, but more like Pre-Roman Europe with very low technology, small petty kingdoms, roaming bandits, mercenaries, people struggling to survive everywhere.
One of the things of the show is the kids have to keep hidden their secret.
The thing to remember, this is not a "good guy vs bad guy" show. It is a realistic, "selfish people with good intentions" show.
A variety of storylines are available as a result, since everything has a "grey area." And this gives the actors a chance to really try new things, explore what their strengths are.
During the summer, the cast would go to a forest location to film "the other world" scenes, and this can allow fans and Society for Creative Anachronism and other re-enactors of various ideas to get together and be extras for the show.
The "gang" aspect of the show is you will witness these scrawny, weak guys brought together into a physically demanding group, trained to become living weapons, and watch their egos grow. The one "fear" (and hope) I have is that in their senior year, the kids would start show-boating and stage ridiculous fights, so they die in a blaze of glory.
To incorporate everyone into the show, people who can somewhat act would be extras, people who can't act, but are physically fit, would be part of the "kill team" (the group that the stars fight against), and regular school events would be used as background events for the show.
Also, we would have people who are ugly in the show, make it realistic.
really most people join gangs i cause they thibk they will be cool and respected but they get shot the next day
