MORE HYUNDAI GENESIS COUPE @ INSIDELINE.COM:
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FullTests/articleId=142686?tid=ed...

Our 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track is painted Bathurst Black. That's Bathurst as in Bathurst 1000, a 620-mile (1,000-km) race on Australia's Mount Panorama Circuit, a 3.9-mile road course with 23 turns, grades of up to 16 percent and a 1.2-mile-long straightaway named Conrod Straight after a spectacular engine failure endured by racer Frank Kleinig in 1939.

Only heavily modified Ford Falcons and Holden Commodores in the V8 Supercar series (Australia's take on NASCAR) race at Bathurst today, so there's no obvious connection to the unassuming black clearcoat on our V6-equipped 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track.

But as we drive the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, we can imagine Hyundai's chassis engineers fine-tuning the ride and handling of their first rear-wheel-drive coupe on the demanding Bathurst circuit. Probably the cost constraints of building a $30,000 car don't allow for working holidays Down Under. Yet the 2010 Genesis Coupe isn't some soggy two-door version of the Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan.

Instead you'll find a very capable chassis underneath the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track's arresting bodywork. Hyundai's sport coupe might not be track-ready out of the box, but it doesn't wither when we pitch it into Bathurst-like turns on lumpy two-lane roads.

  • I wanna see this test with the 2013 genesis

  • Any car that has it's engine in the front and is RWD its going to lose some power to the wheels. so infiniti didnt lie about how much power the engine had they just didnt tell you how much you get to the wheels... btw 305hp to the wheels is still a lot.

  • @pdavid24 lol sorry the official torque for the infinity is 270, so it made 15 less torque. Guess Infinity overrated their torque more then hyundai.

  • @adamY2K Lol? The official hp for the infinity is 330hp torque is 260, so this car made 25 less hp and 5 less torque, while the genesis official number is 306 with torque at 266, and makes 279hp 262 torque which is about 27 hp and 4 torque less then official.... overrated HP? Not really.

  • Hyundai cars in general are all garbage. Does not matter which model it is

  • Hyundai have a tendency to overrate everything they do.. Especially their HP figures!

  • a minor tail light mod and it will look way better than the infiniti

  • @BigSteve5467, thanks i recommend it, getting an Audi S5 soon, but keeping the G cause i love it. And yes i know, i even have the 350GT (skyline 350GT) emblems in replacement of the "g35" to pay homage to the JDM OG. I did not rebadge the whole car or replace infiniti for a few reasons... 1) that would take too much time and replacemtent parts (including changing the seats bc they have ( /\ ) on them as well) , 2. I love confusing people , 3. the 350GT emblem just looks so much better

  • @nismogxe Just to let ya know, your G35 is just a re badged skyline. Infinity is the American luxury division of Nissan. Now that we have cleared that up, i bet your G35 kicks ass, would love to have one some day, but gotta go with the coupe version.
