  • I can see where you did some creative editing on your other video to hide that it works slow. It looks like this doesn't translate what someone else is saying. It needs to translate both directions. Saying that you "support more than 20 languages by voice" is at best misleading; apparently for voice you only support one dialect of one language; namely American English.

  • @livingatnorth45 You're correct in the current support of speech recognition languages, we only have today American English. We are adding UK English and German in August. We are adding additional speech rcognition languages before the end of the year. Go ahead and try it, it's now available at iPhone US App Store.

  • looks like it only translates from English into another language -- not very useful if it can't do both directions

  • @rpalmquist01 It will support additionally UK English and German in August. Leter in autumn there will be additional languages. All main languages are planned to be covered. You can download it today in iPhone US App Store and the becoming updates will cover new languages.

  • Speechtrans Bi Directional Speech To Speech Translator is coming soon the the iPhone, 3G, 3Gs, 4, iPod touch and iPad. This will have a 200,000 word dictionary its way better

  • @yk299 I can't see any reason why with such a limited word dictionary you could match 14 servers of Cellictica. Let me know where I can download your product and I'll try. You can always get ours for iPhones, Androids, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Bada and J2ME (any decent feature phone will do). in addition to typical App Stores you can find it with major operator portals etc.

  • Just thought I'd give you an update. I ended up going with SpeechGear's system. It supports continuous speech, not just individual phrases, and it recognizes speech spoken in multiple languages. It's more expensive, but a MUCH better program.

  • @ucheucheuche My bad! Already powered by Naunce. *)

  • This is a fantastic development and I truly hope you progress rapidly. Getting more input-output language support will appeal to business travellers and general interlingual communication. Not to mention it's a mini language learning tool. The scope is enormous. You'll then have to decide whether to go it alone, or be bought into companies that interpret like Google's Translate or Nuance's Dragon. If it's the latter, get a good percentage. :)

  • P.S. Maybe I can volunteer my time to help for free?

Maybe this will be fixed? Thanks!
