This design uses no buttons to launch and return the minecarts. Everything is triggered by the player entering and leaving the carts themselves. It uses soulsand to hold the carts in place and stone pressure plates to detect the coming and going of the player.

All the workings are buried underneath with only minimal blocks above ground, though of course a building can be built around the surface features. This is not a tutorial, just a tour. I want to work on the design some more before churning out a whole tutorial.

The original departure design is by Sethbling, so thanks for that! :)

  • "Buttonless minecart station" double-tap levers

  • @WRCreedRS As in replace a one-click button with a double-click lever to make it "buttonless"? Perhaps what I should have said was "clickless", though even that doesn't cover the "walk over a pressure plate" styles out there. Semantics aside, my goal of having a station where you just get in and out of carts should be clear. :)

  • omg this is amazing!

  • @I3L33D3D Thanks. Shoulders of giants, and all that...

  • Download?

  • @bloodyfool100 I made a tutorial in my channel, and it has a download. Let me know if it works or not! :)

  • @Nonsanity thx it works

  • @badhardba Thanks for the info, and the sub. :)

  • @Beardwhip No one has ever said that before. I wonder if he plays Minecraft...

  • @bloodyfool100 I'll see what I can do about that. I'll probably have to move it to a new seed, since I built a nether rail line in this one and the save got rather large.

  • Good Job,

it was Sethbling with his research on Soulsand behaviour.

Cant remember, if the arrival was in there, too. But maybe you have given the "glitch" (where you always fall through the floor damnit!) a new meaning :D

you got a new sub ^^
