Using a 1965 Princeton Reverb with a Bandmaster 2-12 extension cabinet and a voodoo strat, this take on Little Wing is a two-track room recording from a rehearsal in early September 2001. This was recorded immediately after the posted original First Thing On Tuesday.

A Marshall Bluesbreaker (1st edition) pedal is used for a small lead boost along with a Vintage Italian Vox V846 wah for the closing lines.

  • Using an extension cab with the Princeton Reverb does it help with the clean headroom to jam with a drummer in a small jam session?

  • yes, but you need to make sure your speaker impedances total 8ohm - I used a 16 ohm 10" with a 16 ohm extenstion cab...thanks for listening

  • es el mejor cover de Hendrix que he escuchado en todo Utube

voy a fumarme un puro de maryjane gracias por este cover

  • Thank you kindly for your comment...hope you enjoyed the "cigar"

"is the best cover of Hendrix I've heard all Utube I smoke a cigar maryjane thanks for this cover"

  • Eddie do you really drive a 2x12 cab with a 15w Princeton? Sounds great! Heartfelt!

  • Yes, indeed. Actually, this was a 1-10" and 2-12" stack. I put in a 16ohm Celestion Vintage 10 in the Princeton and the 12's were Celestion Vintage 30s. Glad you enjoyed the tone!

  • Excellent tone dude, A little Flabby on vocals but cool anyway.

  • Those Celestions give that combo a pretty Marshall like sound I guess. Stevie obviously set up to play dual Twins?? This song is that netherland of "clean and dirty". Sitll tone starts in the heart and Eddie you are a Master Blaster for the place Jimi takes us too! Have you ever spent any time with the DVD's of Andy Alledort? It is always a guitar center show stopper to nail some Electric Ladyland or Little Wing! You know they say this was for his Mom?

  • i can tell parts are from a hendrix live show version and some srv things going on...good mix.

you should work on the vocals a bit more...it would sound even closer then. The guitar chops are there for sure.

  • nice
