The whole movie is fantastic, but this little interchange as Rollo the Knife Thrower (Edward Brophy) goes to his execution, is one of my favorite moments in the film. Some people may recognize Brophy from Tod Browning's Freaks, where incidentally, he also played a knife-throwing Rollo character. Peter Lorre is Dr. Gogol.

  • I just loved this scene too...but it made me a bit queazy. :D I love Peter Lorre's fascinated look as the chopping block goes down! Thanks for pointing out Brophy! I thought he'd looked familiar!

  • I love Rollo. He's probably the cheeriest, most down-to-earth guy in the movie, and he's a murderer. Shows what a dark sense of humour this film has.

Also, Peter's face at the end XD that is some skilled eye-ball acting right there

  • me two i love the voice two and yes hes a very wonderful character indeed .

  • Yep, right you are! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Timothy Mouse's voice, too! What a cool character! May EB in peace! (1895-1960) <3 : )
