  • I don't know whether its the same group but I know that this group went to many places in the world to perform. I got this DVD set from China and it is also selling now in Singapore. Nice show isn't it?

  • Very... and the male is good looking too haha..

Just wanted to let you know that I love all your other videos as well, especially gezaixi. That's actually my favourite type of opera to listen to.

  • oh thank you so much for the translation! and the story is awesome. I came across the song on this digital encyclopedia CD called Encarta when I was about 15, ever since then, I was hooked on traditional chinese opera (regardless of the region and dialect). also, ever since then I've been desperately looking for the song-is there any way I can get it online?

  • You are not Chinese? How do you know Bai Lixi? Dont think I can find English version lyric. The story is about Bai Lixi and his wife. They met at poverty; he left home to search for a future and was retained by several kings (China was divided into 7 kingdoms); he eventually made Prime Minister in one kingdom. Meanwhile his wife went through famine, left hometown. She became a servant at the PM house. Bailixi and his wife eventually reunited. Its a story about love and fidelity. Happy ending.

  • sorry, the translator service I used was not clear in your meaning. is there a way (or a suggestion of a method) for you to translate it and then send it again?

  • 百里奚认妻?百里奚,五张皮,可记得--锅白菜、煮小米,灶下没柴火,劈了门闩炖母鸡?今天富贵了,扔了儿子忘了妻?

  • 男主角是俞玖林,昆曲界的帥哥。他和張軍如新一代岳美緹和汪世瑜,的確後勢強勁。

  • anyone know the opera song "Bai Lixi returns home to his wife"? I've looked everywhere online and can't find it. not to be a nerd, but I first heard it on the Encarta Encyclopedia when I was younger, and have tried to track it down since. any amount of help would be useful.

  • more!

  • Very enjoyable!
