  • Good to know that you're still around...lol, but in the mean time, how long did it take you to paint this in real time and also do you you have a DA account or a website/blog? I would like to see more of your work, and any advice on how to improve in painting? Thanks and love the video(s) :D

  • @sil3ntm08i0us Thanks a lot. :3 I think close to 3 hours, which is slow as I haven't painted like this in awhile, VERY out of practice lol. I know it's obvious but the very best thing you can do is practice, hours and hours of practice. Look to different artists you admire, and study their techniques. I'm self taught but I learned to draw long before learning to paint, and I studied every art book I could find. And no I'm not currently using DA but hope to get back on there in the future.

  • @ZenXIII Awesome! I am self teaching myself at the moment...lol that sounded funny.

Thank you for the advice and also I just had one question, there are specific areas on the body where the blood runs close to the skin so they tend to be reddish, like the bulb of the nose and cheeks. I was wondering if you know of any good resources that explain where those areas are, I have tried to search the internet but have had no luck or even in the local library. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks!

  • @sil3ntm08i0us Scientifically, I can't tell you much, but if you look at someone extremely pale (non photoshopped) it can be a lot easier to find the areas you're looking for. Generally the areas of the body that you use the most are more red toned, like knuckles, palms, fingertips, bottoms of the feet, knees. Or areas that get more sun, like the shoulders. While areas on the body where the skin is more thin and translucent tend to be more cool toned.

  • @Rokemikal Andro characters are the new sexy, dood.

  • nice work, however when you were messing around with hairstyles (im not sure if you were going for a sort of young elf boy or girl) but at 5:18 you HAD IT, with the long bangs in front following into a pony tail I thought it was perfect, then you killed it!

end result..meh, cant tell if its a boy or girl with short hair. 5:18 would have been a perfect female if u kept going with it.

  • Really nice work! Can I ask what kind of program did you use?

  • Phenomenal work, what soundtrack(s) did you use for this video, it fit perfectly. ps. glad you're not dead!
