OMG!!!!!!!!!

LINES was at NCSA just last week and Alonzo did a piece with us in it for Winter Dance! I know all of his dancers!

Working with him has completely redefined and replenished me as a dancer. It has truly been a life-changing experience and I feel like I've grown so much from the experience.

LINES. IS. INCREDIBLE.

Its really interesting watching the monks and the dancers together. You can see the difference in the quality of their movements. For ballet dancers their energy stays in their core, so everything extends from there. Their movements always having a floating sort of "no gravity" quality. Whereas for the monks, they move their energy through their bodies and you can tell in their movement, you can see the weight shifting or flowing. Much more so than the dancers.
