Thermo King gives 'Energy Efficiency Leader' award to Stevens Transport

Stevens Transport for reduces fuel consumption by 6.6 percent and idle time by 48 percent

Earlier this month, leaders from Thermo King presented an "Energy Efficiency Leader" Award to Stevens Transport, an eco-conscious, refrigerated transport carrier in Dallas. The award recognizes the company's use of innovative thinking and new technology to reduce fuel consumption, conserve greenhouse gas emissions and improve the bottom line.

The Energy Efficiency Leader award is presented by Thermo King, a manufacturer of temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, and acknowledges the numerous examples of energy-saving solutions and sustainability efforts implemented by Stevens Transport. Collectively, the efforts have helped the company decrease fuel usage by 6.6 percent and idle time by 48 percent.
