THE North-East could be set to score a huge financial goal after both NewcastleGateshead and Sunderland won the right to host 2018 World Cup matches. Bid chiefs said the double success could land the region a £70m windfall, with businesses, tourist attractions and universities all benefiting if England is chosen as the host nation.
