"What a difference a day makes" is the title and main theme of a beautifully produced motion graphics film launched by national campaign group, Animal Aid.

If everyone in the UK committed to just one meat-free day a week, this would result in greater carbon savings than taking five million cars off the road. Reducing the amount of animal products in our diets will also help to boost our health and, of course, help to end animal suffering. What more incentive do you need? So start with Meat-Free Monday and then try Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And dont forget to tell your friends and family!

What a difference a day makes was created by award-winning, London-based design and motion company, Taylor McKenzie (http://www.tmck.co.uk) and features Mobys iconic track, "In my heart", as the soundtrack to the film.

As a vegetarian for 30 years and very much an aspiring vegan,(I don't eat eggs or dairy either, I don't call myself a vegan because I will occasionally allow egg product or dairy product to enter my diet, usually in the form of convenience food, but I hate myself for this). I digress, I climb, I run and do endurance mountain biking, Never needed meat, never felt the need to poison myself with it.

The fitness element is a by product of the diet.

Be kind to others including your animal friends :-)

The planet won't be able to sustain itself if we continue eating meat, and we'll probably all have to go vegan eventually. The more people condition themselves to eating at least a vegetarian diet, the better off we'll all be (and that includes the poor starving people who are deprived of the grain used instead to feed beef cattle for the West's excessive meat habits). There's no need to eat meat anyway - it's utterly superfluous to a human being's dietary needs, not to mention harmful.

Blah...... A friend of mine was recently in hospital and the guy in the next bed was recovering after having a "bag" fitted. He had been alife long tee-total vegan, exercised regulalry but nature decide he was going to get prostrate cancer anyway. Just shows. If nature has it in for you it makes no bloody difference what life style you lead...

check out the UN report published by scientists which urges our planet to switch to a plant based diet due to insustainability,it's far cheaper to feed animals on soy if u r running a factory farm which most are.another important fact is that plants are far more efficient at feeding humans in terms of resources, than animals as the video presented, pound for pound. time will prove this to be true as meat consumption is already falling due to a rise in input costs, passing this onto the customer.

you need to check out big agra as an industry, few farmers can afford to keep cows as you say "happily chomping away", there is an abundance of videos on youtube showing factory farms and the amount of pollution they cause and the cruelty. the UN also published a report saying that if we don't switch to a plant based diet our species will not survive into the future. so i think you should do some more research and get all the facts.

the vitamin market is propped up by omnivores, it's mathematically impossible as vegans represent around 1% of the population and no vitamin production is not as environmentally damaging as animal agriculture. also one reason for supplementation is a sign of a lazy diet, b vitamins are abundant in fruit.
