House Fire And Reported Explosion In Gary Indiana

Crews were dispatched to a reported still alarm at 7201 west 25th ave, while en route reports came in that the house "blew" On arrival a fully involved house was found and Battalion 8 immediately requested Lake Ridge with a tanker for water supply. Crews made an aggressive interior attack until they ran out of water. Lake Ridge arrived on scene shortly after to supply crews with much needed water. The fire was brought under control, one Firefighter suffered minor injuries.

i realize i wasn't there but the house appears empty, horns were sounded and the order was given to back out then the video shows the crew advancing into the building. WTF?

@crazee240 In Gary they use the 3-4 rapid blasts for water is coming, ie hydrant is tapped. 3-4 long blasts is evacuation.

There aren't really any! I had the whole second floor going on one last night. Maybe it started as room and contents, by the time FD and myself got on scene it was blowing through the roof and out the windows.

Heard Posen had a fully involved house at 13700 Hamlin last night, thats not too far from you. Gary is cooking lately, have no idea why. I figured summer would have had more fire than fall. Oh well...
