Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea located northeast, and the beauty and scenery of the island are breathtaking. Cyprus was named after the Latin for "copper" (Kuprum) a mineral discovered over 3,000 years ago, which generated great wealth. The Greeks renamed the island "Kypros".

Cypro Art Centre in Lempa, Paphos Cyprus
Copper artist of Cyprus, Takis Hadjizenonos and Barbara Streiff from Switzerland opened in the historical place of the Copper time near the historical village Lempa a Copper Art Centre with Atelier and a Art Parc.
In September 2001 invited the Cultural Centre Pano Arodes the Artist Barbara Streiff by the Philosophy AEON in Copper sculptures by her Exhibition Installation for freedom in the Paphos Gallery Cyprus.
Mantilios Mantis and Barbara get friends by her work action " save nature ".
In September 2002 Mantilios Art Centre did invite Barbara against to stay in the Art Centre Pano Arodes to work by Natural Art Installations. She lived and worked in the Art Centre as Artist and teacher by herself... With her work to made colours out natural material earth, plants and fire... to build a park with Natural Art Installations " archaic Symbols " around the Centre in Pano Arodes. This work is talking about her investment as modern Artist.
In this time she paints the Philosophy out Akamas in archaic, modern paintings which are in the moment by an Exhibition Installation together with her Copper sculptures in the Sinti Monastery Pentalya. With this work of Akamas she gets the love of Cyprus People.
By her Art teaching she was creating a lot of big placative Pictures for a Show of modern Art on the Mainstream of Akamas to made Art explain from Pointillism`s over Surrealisms to Abstraction, all the modern Styles in a communicative Art action. From Polis to Paphos, by Art Exhibition in the Bath of Aphrodite and public places, like Harper Paphos.
Since 2003 permanent Exhibition of Comics paintings in Maroushias Internetcafe Paphos.
In last years she traveled all over the island by her performance of expressive Motions paintings on News Papers of the happenings on public places. Exhibitions and Installations all is hanging on line in Culture Heritage Oano Arodes, Airport Larnaca and Polis 2004.
In September 2003 organised Barbara Streiff and Bruno Kaelin invited by Christa Bull and Mantilios Art Centre the World Exhibition for Freedom with the Patronage Swiss Commission for Unesco. www.unesco.ch
Natural Art Installation in Akamas.
By this work we did invite all Artists over Cyprus for an Exhibition. In this time we found the contact to the Cyprus Copper Artist from Paphos, Takis Hadjizenonos.
2004 by the European Artist Show all over Cyprus, Takis did invite Barbara Streiff for a Workshop, Performance Art Prasentation of Copper work in his Gallery Place Coral Beach Gallery of Paphos.
Later we did found in his Atelier in Lempa the right place to opened
a Cypro Art Centre International.
Cypro is Cyprus and this name comes out the historical time, where in Cyprus was one of the most important Copper place before 5000 years. (Phoenicians)
The area of the Cypro Art Centre is near the historical village of the Copper time.
Takis Hadjizenonos and Barbara Streiff are modern Copper Artist and Specialist for this Metall. In the Artork of Barbara Streiff you will found the Philosophy by Platon from the eternal symbols of primal geometry and the Signs you will found in the old Mosaics in Paphos. you can go to takis hadjizenonos he is the artdirector of the coral beach artcentre.
in the moment is the exhibition on tournee by the panearodien centre in larnaca.
