Here's a piece of The Porter Wagoner Show, when he featured Pretty Miss Norma Jean as his "girl singer." This goes back to the 60's. Dolly Parton joined Porter, after Norma Jean left the band. You could see the video clip of this, plus 2 more. Just go to Norma Jean's web site. She has some really great things on it.http://www.prettymissnormajean.com/

  • I LOVE ALL THE SONGS THAT NORMA JEAN DID. SHE WAS A GREAT SINGER. I LOVED HER SINGING WITH PORTER WAGONER.

  • @PaulinaRena - I am correcting myself here. I meant to say that Norma and Porter were a great duo - not duet. We never missed the Porter Wagoner show - it's great to see some of the shows on RFD sometimes. Thanks again. - Paula

  • I agree. It was then I believe I read in one of the country music magazines that she left the show to marry a guy who had a ranch in Oklahoma. She and her daughter went to live there then. I have always liked "pretty Miss Norma Jean" and it's fun seeing her in more modern times on YouTube. She and Porter were a great duet. Thank you for posting. - Paula

  • He didn't dump Norma for Dolly. Norma left the show on her own and Porter, after hearing Dolly's debut album Hello, I'm Dolly, brought her in to replace her.

  • This turns the clock back to the best years of yesterday. Saturday night in Oklahoma City, my parents never missed this show. Love to hear it again, Sharon

  • I also grew up watching the porter show & I always thought it was pretty little miss jean butI always loved them thx

  • My Daddy always referred to her as "Sweet Little Norma Jean"......Porter ended up dumping her for Dolly Parton.
