Coldplay performed at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA on 12 June, 2009 for their first ever Iowa concert. During the show, the band made their way thru the crowd to a mini-stage at the back of the arena where they did a few accoustic numbers. One of which was prefaced with Chris Martin's "Mexican Cell Phone Wave" and went into "I'm a Believer". It's not the best video quality, but for those who were there the audio brings back memories of a fantastic show. Viva la Vida Coldplay!
that was halarious how he said mexican phone wave! i sat like same row where the mini stage was but 1 section away! i agree wherever u sat it was a really cool concert. the first guest said des moines but actually said the "s" in moines... great concert!

I would have too! I was in the upper bowl in the back, but there really wasn't a bad seat in the whole place! They put on such a great show that it doesn't matter where you sit.

This was awesome! I was a row behind the band when they came up to the mini-stage. That was pretty much the coolest thing ever! Chris Martin asked the girl in front of me to hold his water bottle and I think she may have gone into cardiac arrest, lol.
