I was in my car, parked, and it was raining. I was under a giant neon sign, a grocery store sign that hadn't had all its letters lit since I was a kid. The battery in my camera was still good, so I pointed it out the windshield and began taping. It lasted long enough to catch the sky turning dark, and the sign turning to gibberish as its un-lit letters faded away, and a most unusual song playing on the radio. The whole thing felt like a funeral.

  • bs, what station plays the soviet anthem on the radio..? or who records the anthem and plays it on their radio? clearly a communist advocate. N1CKFG... LOL.

  • Reminds me of Soviet Union. Dark, dangerous and freaky Soviet Union...

  • I'll fear. Fear death, darkness. EVERYTHING!

  • did it say "ll FEAR?"

  • It seems to me this is symbolic of the fall of the USSR. What with the 'big bear' sign slowly fading into something illegible and the rousing choral song in the background.

  • Neat

  • An excellent video good work.

  • Looks like the sign to the Big Bear next to Cabell Huntington Hospital. It was very sad that the Big Bear Chain went out of business and even sadder that this particular store was demolished and turned into a parking lot. Your video is a fitting tribute.

  • Wow, was this thing in real time or did you fast forward? Its really awesome.

  • Good old Hymn to the Soviet Union in the background! haha
