After chanting of Devi Mahatmyam, the Devi Suktam - Tantroktam or Rig Vedic or both are chanted. This is because in the 13th chapter, it has been declared that "Devi Suktam param japam" or that the Devi Suktam is the ultimate japa. The king and the vaishya get their boons from Devi after performing tapas and havan/homam with the chanting of Devi Suktam. The Tantrokta Devi suktam has been chanted here which is the famous " Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu" part from the 5th chapter. The chanting is deliberately slow with exaggerated "deerghams" or elongated vowels. Please visit our website for more details.
